Two examples (being the deviants I got this from and have reviewed or will review mine):
A:
Gallery selections:
a. [link] This has to be among my selections. It is too lovely to leave out.
b. [link] Out of the remaining "short list", this one just strikes me.
c. [link] I don't remember seeing this picture before, and the subject matter doesn't really connect with me, but it just seems to jump out at me as being high-quality, so here it is.
BONUS: [link]
Scrapbook selections:
a. [link] , just 'coz it looks amazing.
b. [link] Generally nyce.
c. [link] About as cute as Chiyo-chan on an average day.
B:
a. [link] in progress / [link] complete Congrats to her for getting as far as the "in progress" work, much less completing the drawing and colouring it traditionally! Nyce!
b. [link] A bit too gory for my real *liking*, but it's probably her most striking and expressive work.
c. [link] This was my most difficult choice because I didn't know whether to leave this out and include the rather colloquially titled "Lyk3 ZOMG -- Roz" instead. Why did I choose the one I did? I'm not sure; I guess it's more complete, better proportioned, and (not much) more expressive. The one I didn't choose sort of reminds me of '70s chic, Racquel Welsh, Jacqueline Bisset, that sort of look.
The other ten are for the ten of you who are going to reply and request! So reply and request, already!
1.
a. [link] This is easily the most detailed and most impressive work in her gallery. Most of it is very well detailed and pleasant to the eye. It has but one flaw that prevents me from calling it "excellent".
b. [link] "...but this is her ID!" Yep, but it's also the best detailed character picture, even better than the "Cute Little Witch".
c. [link]
2.
Choosing three is a bit difficult here. The list almost became five or six. I noticed something curious: On average, the drawings in Ray's scrapbook are better than those in her gallery
a. [link] This is a well-done rendition that captures the character well.
b. [link] A nice lineart picture of one of Ray's OCs. I have included it here as probably her best all-original drawing.
c. [link] From Ray's scrapbook. It just seems the most complete of the scraps, and, IMO, it's better than some of the drawings she has submitted to her gallery.
3.
Rodri's not much of a draughtsman, so I'll go for his photos...
a. [link] This lakefront photo is the only undisputed entry into this list; I have to figure out which two of the other four I'm going to include.
b. [link] Nyce underwater shot taken from above the water.
c. [link] A cargo ship in the Panama Canal.
4.
a. [link] This one just strikes me.
b. [link] This is me CHEATING!
c. [link] This is a compromise between the truly beautiful "MightyxCrystal Colored ver" and the truly hilarious "Shadow's big secret". This is both beautiful and hilarious, thereby covering both bases...
( XTRA: [link]
5.
a. [link] Back in the old days of the guild system, one advanced from being a journeyman to being a master by creating a masterpiece. In my opinon, which is based on this submission, Mewberries is a master sculptor, because *this* is a masterpiece.
b. [link] One comment, and only one:
c. [link] This got third spot over "Cartoony Polar Bear" and "Happy Birthday Ransomed Heart" because it's really very well done, just two too-long spur claws away from being excellent.
6.
a. [link] I have not finished looking through the gallery, but I have seen enough to know that this is on the list. It is, as it says, tranquil. The character just seems to be floating on a great calm. I do not use the term "excellent" lightly, but I believe it applies here.
b. [link] I still haven't finished selecting, but I am sure about this one. I don't know; it's just attractive. (I am also sure that there is going to be a bonus selection, so I will include that one at the end now...)
c. [link] I actually resisted choosing this one but, as I started to narrow them down, this one just started to dominate the short list. The background is grayt, the shading effects are magnificent, and there's an interesting pop-art look to the repeated image with different-coloured bathing suits. The runner-ups that were considered for this spot were "the thing I love to do", "5th of November", and "my own angel, my own heaven".
BONUS: [link] To have put this among the regular three would have denied a place for one of ~limewired's real art works. I think this is a very interesting desktop background. It's been a long time since I studied anything like that...
7.
a. [link] Utterly amazing.
b. [link]
c. [link] This beats "Almost dead" and "Sarah:Thinking of you" to the third place in this because it is the most detailed and refined picture of Mahira I have seen.
8.
a. [link] Cool!
b. [link] A bit out of focus, but nyce enough.
c. [link] Nyce wallpaper.
9.
a. [link] Representing excellence in realistic pencil drawing, and defeating "Girl" which I initially thought would represent that in this list.
b. [link] Typically grayt artwork, but the excellence of this is in the emotion conveyed by the picture. It is just raw grief that leaves no space for cynicism. It is the visual equivalent of Jackie Coogan telling the dead Champ to get up.
c. [link] As always, the hardest to choose. This was chosen over "Happy Birthday", "Air Fight", "little red killinghood", "A father's gift to his daughter", "Chevrolet Chevelle SS", and "McLaren F1" because... well, because it's excellent technically and because it is beautiful despite being somewhat bizarre.
BONUS: There were even competitors for the bonus, but there is really only one that could be the bonus here: [link] Thank you, sensei.
10.
a. [link] Because it's beautiful.
b. [link] Not coloured or inked or anything, but the details strike me.
c. [link] Personally, I prefer "Dragon guard" to this, but this is better detailed, better executed, and more imaginative (a cross between a griffin and a slug?
And that's it! Ten featured artists!

Not for the faint-hearted! (maybe needs a mature-content warning...) Also not in her gallery; this is from her scrapbook. Gory but very well done.
i NEVER thought anyone would describe any of my work as that, or that i would ever even create something that could be described as that. ahahahahaha. XDXD
